Bockwurst

This is how the name should have come about. Who invented them? We say the Bavarians and refer to the "Bavarian Dictionary" from 1827, in which Bo & Bo appear as "a popular old Munich breakfast".

The Berliners say: In 1889, the Kreuzberg pub owner Robert Scholz served the (kosher) boiled sausages of the Jewish butcher Benjamin Löwenthal for the first time with the Tempelhof bock beer. The revelers were enthusiastic, the bockwurst boom was on.
